Walsall St George

St George's ecclesiastical parish was formed in February 1878. The church, in Pershouse Street, was erected in 1875, in stone, in the Early English style.

Church History

St George's church, erected in 1875 from the designs of Robert Griffiths of Stafford, was a building of stone in the Early English style and consisted of a chancel, nave, aisles, and south porch.
Services ceased in 1964 due to the dangerous state of the building and St George's was demolished in December 1964 and the parish abolished.
